Dr. Chad Paterra
Meet Dr. Paterra
Dr. Chad Paterra was born and raised in West Virginia, where he completed both undergraduate and dental school studies at West Virginia University. While in dental school, he was awarded the William Reed Butler Scholarship for excellence in research.
Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Paterra completed a one-year residency at the WVU School of Dentistry in the Department of Periodontics. During that time, he learned how to perform advanced dental surgeries, with an emphasis on dental implant placement and restoration. He has been a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Academy of Osseointegration. He is also a member of the local chapters of the Spear Study Club and the Greater Charlotte Seattle Study Club in which he serves as an advisor. Volunteering his dental skills to the community is something very important to Dr. Paterra. He frequently works with outreach programs locally through the Ada Jenkins Center and the North Carolina Missions of Mercy Project. Internationally, he has traveled to Africa with International Medical Relief to help those in underserved areas of Tanzania.
In 2014, Dr. Paterra was drawn to the Charlotte area for the warmer weather and outdoor adventures that North Carolina offers. In his free time, you can find him enjoying the lake, the beach, or the mountains with his wife, Katie, and their dog, Emmitt!
