Meet Dr. Gordon Averill

Dr. Averill is a lighthearted and compassionate dentist committed to the highest quality patient care. A graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Averill has been trained by the finest and brightest in the New England area. While at Tufts, Dr. Averill was presented an award for exceptional chairside manner. Dr. Averill places an emphasis on patient comfort and comprehensive treatment planning. Dr. Averill received an Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Dentistry. At UCLA, Dr. Averill was exposed to many facets of implantology, cosmetic dentistry, and crown & bridge techniques.

“I love dentistry because I believe a smile is infectious. The fact that I can play a positive role in restoring and maintaining a person’s smile is a very rewarding feeling that continually motivates me to help each person who walks through the door,” he says.

Dr. Averill, however, is much more than a dentist. He has a great sense of adventure and a love for the outdoors. He has traveled all over the world, exploring the different cultures & landscapes of Europe and Asia. Dr. Averill has recently moved to Charlotte from Los Angeles to bring his family closer together. Dr. Averill and his wife Angie (also a dentist) have siblings living in and around Charlotte. He and Dr. Angie have two young kids, Oliver and Eloise, plus a lab mix puppy named Ziggy.
